Potential Capital Gains Tax (CGT)

When shares are sold, any gains exceeding the annual exempt amount (£3,000 for the 2025/26 tax year) may be subject to CGT. You can use the calculator to assess your potential CGT liability.

We understand tax can be complex, so we've partnered with WEALTH at Work to offer financial education sessions throughout November. These sessions will cover your choices, including when CGT might apply and how to address it. After a group session, you'll have the chance for a 1:1 guidance call to discuss individual questions.

For more information on CGT, visit the HMRC website: www.gov.uk/capital-gains-tax and read the FAQs.
